Today I am working on the Disney Girls Trip Album. This album is mainly blue, pink, and the neutrals with other pops of color thrown in.
Usually, I work a Disney album until it is completed, but for this one, I am mixing it up and scrapping it while I am scrapping other things.
I do have a kit that I have put together from my stash, but I am still pulling things that are not in the kit. I hope that will make a really well rounded album that still feels cohesive.
The kit lives in a basket on my table
Funny how the title is Mermaid fun, yet there are no photos of mermaids on this layout. We all know Ariel is a mermaid, though, right?
Where is her tail?

I used a sketch by Khristina Sorge, who is the force behind The Secret Not Secret Kit Club. This was a challenge in the private Facebook Group for those of us who receive kits. Each time you receive a kit, it is personally curated just for you! You can check it out here.
On to the pretty stuff.
This is the FINAL, yes FINAL layout for the 2 Seconds of Summer concert I took my girls to last year. HOORAY!
I had explicit instructions to NOT scrapbook either ticket that belonged to the girls, but "Could (I) please make sure to scrapbook (my) ticket so it makes it into an album?" Of course, I would. I definitely didn't need or want to memorialize this ticket any other way.
This page was a lot of fun to create. I used gelatos and glitter paste. Anytime I can do those kind of things, it is a win!
The kit arrived! The kit arrived! Hooray! In case you were not aware, I decided to continue with this subscription. I even upped it to 6 months!
And now to get down to business with it! So far loving this kit more than last month's. And that really isn't fair. I LOVED about half of last month's kit.The parts I didn't love? Well, they are in a new "Great things other people might love" pile for the next crop/retreat I go to. I love when there is a swap table like that!
Okay, on to the kit:
And get this! I actually used the stamp set that came with the kit! This is the 4th stamp set and the very first time I have used it! I had an epiphany why I don't use a lot of my stamps as well. I mostly have Distress Ink. You and I both know they do not give the clearest stamped image-that isn't really their purpose anyway.
"sweet" was stamped with the CT stamp set
This page was created for the Disney Girls Trip in 2016. That album is going to be teal, pink, black, gray, and white with tiny pops of color thrown in for fun. I pulled plenty of supplies from my kit and added a few things from my stash.
This layout included:
Citrus Twist Kit:
White Cardstock (American Crafts)
Patterned Paper - Help Clear the Table, Mind Your Manners (Bella Blvd)
Patterned Paper - Summertime, Carousel (Crate Paper) August 2017 Kit
Patterned Paper - Dazzle, Carousel (Crate Paper)
Stickers - Carousel (Crate Paper)
Ephemera Pack - Turn the Page (Pink Paislee)
Stamp Set (Citrus Twist Exclusive)
Cut Apart Sheet (Citrus Twist Exclusive)
Epoxy Stickers (Citrus Twist Exclusive)
From My Stash:
Self Adhesive Pearls (Want to Scrap)
Puffy Stickers - Life's Sweet V2 (Evalicious)
Twine (Lawn Fawn)
Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry (Ranger)
Distress Ink - Peacock Feathers (Ranger)

Good afternoon, crafty friends! Today I was able to scrap this page using the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge posted by Moira in the Mercy Tiara's 27 Day Scrappy Challenge Facebook group.
I completed my line with frames, tone on tone patterned paper, and wood veneer or cork. As you can probably guess, I used cork since I am trying to bash my stash of it away.
For this page I used:
Patterned Paper - Summer Vibes, Yellow Wood/Grid (Simple Stories)
Patterned Paper - I Love Family, Family Time (Echo Park)
Patterned Paper - Border Strips, Family Time (Echo Park)
Frames - Summer Vibes (Simple Stories)
Word Phrases - Small Talk (Tim Holtz, Idea-ology)
Thickers - Hello (American Crafts)
Chipboard 'Hello' - Recollections (Michaels)
Die Cuts - Flower Scak, 9 to 5 ( October Afternoon)
Bread IS beautiful. I love bread. Especially a nice crusty, but oh so soft on the inside type of bread. I hope that my love of bread came through on this layout, as I was not loving the products so much.
I am using my Citrus Twist kit from September 2017 for this layout. This is the first page I have created from this kit. I decided to go for some of the products I was not loving as much and just scrap!
There are loads of great things in this kit...and a few that really aren't my thing. But that is the beauty of a kit club; it kind of pushes you to use something that you wouldn't normally purchase. Either that, or you stick it way down in the depths of your stash never to see the light of day again.
One of the things I did to try to make this kit more "me" was to take the mountains with a motivational saying under it and turn it into a banner strip that hangs from the top of the page. I used a label from the cut-apart sheet and sprinkled some pearls from my stash.
So while this page is definitely my style, it is not the usual products I would have chosen. The goal was to not flip through my album and have a jarring "WHAT IS THIS?" moment when you got to this page. In my mind, I have done it.
From the kit I used:
Patterned Paper - Escape the Ordinary "Search" (Pink Fresh)
Cut-Apart Sheet (Citrus Twist Exclusive)
Mini Word Stickers (Citrus Twist Exclusive)
Ephemera Pack - Escape the Ordinary (Pink Fresh)
Thickers - "Swing" (American Crafts) August 2017 Kit
Today I am playing along with the gals over at Stuck?! Sketches.
I used a ton of scraps and some bits and baubles from my Rediscover Your Stash kit as well. Really love this sketch and it pushed me a little outside of my comfort zone as I am not a stacking up scraps kind of scrapper...usually.
See that little bit of meshy stuff? That has been in my stash for over 15 years. Crazy! And it has been used on at least two pages so far in the Rediscover Your Stash challenge this go-around. HOORAY!
Scrapbooking IS always fun, right? It should be! I have always enjoyed playing with paper. What a relaxing hobby for me. Thanks for sharing in it?
Today, I used my Citrus Twist August 2017 kit to start documenting a trip to Muir Woods. If you haven't been to this National Park, I highly suggest a trip. The beauty and magic of the woods are definitely not to be missed.
Today I used a sketch that was provided by Citrus Twist in the August 2017 kit. I used two of my favorite photos cropped down to 4x4 squares. This page doesn't move along the story, it is just a pretty page for my scrapbook.
First Day of School layouts often contain primary colors and heaps of school themed product. I have never been a scrapper who feels the need to have loads of school themed product. That may be because we have homeschooled. You know, that cute yellow bus die cut just doesn't apply to us. However, I do document the first day of school and random things we do throughout the year in the family albums.
Here is the first day for our two daughters. Now, I did save this 6x6 paper pad sheet for this particular layout. However, I have no idea where it came from other than it was in a paper pad. And I only know this because some of the paper pad glue was still stuck to the top of the paper!
No hashtag, just school. That title came from a conversation I had with my daughters about whether this photo would be hashtagged and what it should be. Well, there was no hashtag when I shared the photo, so it's just school. Had I not received this Thicker word in a Citrus Twist Kit, I am sure the title would have gone in a completely different direction.
For this layout, I used my Stash Kit, along with a few more letter sitckers and that saved sheet of paper thrown in.
Cardstock, unknown
Washi, unknown
Chipboard Stickers - Family & Co, Fancy Pants
Die Cuts - Family Stories, Teresa Collins

Baker's Twine - Recollections, Michaels
6x6 Paper, unknown
Letter stickers - Sweet & Sour Soup, Jillibean Soup

Today I am Rediscovering My Stash. I'll be residiscovering this stash for the next month or so. Yay! The challenge for today is to scrap a layout without people. Well, here's a layout with a sign and an automobile. Working through the Jelly Belly Factory Tour day trip. I am almost finished with it so that is super exciting!
One of my YouTube friends, Crystal Barret, has been scrapping with triangles. I have noticed them on a couple of her videos, so she inspired me with the triangle on the paper and using the triangle stickers for the banner. Please don't blame her for that awkwardness of the banner, though. That is all my own doing. I don't know if any banner would actually present itself in such a weirdo way. Ha!
Awkward!
Sticker Cluster
For supplies, I dug into my Stash kit. Here's what ended up on the page:
Today I am playing along with the gals over at Sketches in Thyme. This is sketch #289 by Brenda Ragsdale.
Today's layout is made from my Rediscover Your Stash Challenge Kit. This is the 4th layout I have created, so I have a ton of product left to work through. I did not use any cork. Hooray! I thought I was going to end up with cork on every. single. layout. I did use a gelato for the first time. Go me. I am not sure how exciting of a job I did with it and think if I play a little more I can make something cool. Next time!
Black Dot Paper - Life is Beautiful, Fancy Pants
Green Paper - I Love Family, Echo Park
Hexagon Color Paper - I Love Sunshine, Echo Park
Gelato - Passion Fruit, Faber-Castell
Stickers - Sunshine & Happiness, SImple Stories
Enamel Dots - Homemade, Perler
Washi Stickers - Freckled Fawn
Word Phrases - Tim Holtz

Enamel Hearts - Freckled Fawn
Enamel-like Circles - Fancy Pants
You can see how this page came together on my YouTube channel:
I totally scraplifted Shimelle and I am not even ashamed of it. Scraplifting is okay in my book. As long as you aren't profiting from it AND you are giving credit to the original creator. I'm definitely not making any money off of this and I am almost a Shimelle Fan Girl, so it's all good.
Yes, all smiles. That is what you will have if you ever go to the Jelly Belly Factory Tour. Seriously, people. There's all kinds of fun history of the Jelly Bean and some pretty awesome taste-testing. It's the ACTUAL factory, too. Not some factory created just for tour groups. Are you sold, yet? Ready to hop on over to CA and do this? I thought so.
There really isn't a purpose to this layout. It doesn't move the story along. It doesn't start a series of pages on a new topic. It's just a fun picture of my husband and me. I had this photo as my Facebook profile picture for an entire year. That's how much I liked it. Just looking at the photo makes me smile because we had such a blast that day.
For this layout, I used my Homemade Stash Kit. Hooray for using up scrappy supplies! You know that just means you get to purchase more after the bash is over!
Striped Paper - Taffeta, Hip Kit Club
Teal Paper - Love & Sunshine, Echo Park
Feathers Paper - Atwell, Fancy Pants
Cardstock - Unknown, Stash
New Bradz - So Rad, Simple Stories
Cork - Joy Parade, Fancy Pants
Stickers - Capture Life, Echo Park
Banner - Irish Farmhouse Soup, Jillibean Soup
Splatters - Black Velvet, Heidi Swapp Color Shine

Khristina posted an awesome first challenge. It's a sketch by Becky Fleck of PageMaps.
I wanted to go in a slightly different direction with the grid pattern. My layout is less grid and more color blocking.
I was super glad to be able to use some of all the cork items I seem to have loaded up on. Who knew I loved cork embellishments this much? I surely did not. This layout came together with a lot of help from my scraps folders. I just didn't see the sense in cutting up those lovely 12x12 papers for a 2x2 square of paper. EEEP. Scrappy things that stress me out! There's a couple of Amy Tangerine die cuts, some Fancy Pants embellishments, and some Freckled Fawn embellishments as well. Couldn't even begin to tell you where the paper and cardstock came from as it has been in my stash a truly long time.
Jelly Belly Factory Tour--Just go and experience it!

I am again participating in the Rediscover Your Stash Spending Freeze Challenge hosted by Sara Scraps and Khristina Sorge over on Facebook.
It starts TODAY and runs through the end of September. If you are interested in playing along, just friend request one of these great ladies and ask for an invite!
There's fantastic challenges, inspiration, and fun chatter to help keep you motivated to not spend any cash on scrappy supplies. Of course, you can and should buy the essentials. So if you run out of adhesive, please, go buy more! No sense in participating in a use your stash challenge if you can't, you know, USE your stash.
Here is the "kit" I have pulled from my stash. I use the term kit loosely here, people. I stopped pulling things because it felt like I was just moving everything from it's home to a new spot in my scraproom. So there's no letter stickers, ribbons, wood veneer, flair pieces...You get the idea.
Today I am playing along with the gals over at Sketches in Thyme. This is the 2nd week of August sketch #288.
Today's layout is simple--meaning it is not loaded with layers or embellishments. AND THAT IS OKAY! Sometimes, my albums need a break. The layouts get overloaded with beautiful scrappy bits.
Today, I decided to move my barely started blog from WordPress. It seems to be a great move already as I am definitely having an easier time with the Blogger format.
Hooray for easy to use Blogging tools!
Today, I scrapbooked just for me. No videos, nothing to show off, just some quiet pages that needed to be completed. Not saying I won't share those bad boys in an album share video over on YouTube. However, today they are tucked into their album and waiting for other pages to join them.
Here's hoping you are having a crafty, scrappy weekend as well!
